- hotspot connected to funknetz with WLAN since 1.aug.2004
Setup:
- WRT54G aka Linksys , works in AP-Mode/WDS-Mode , SSID: weimarnetz.de , Encryption: WPA-PresharedKey/TKIP+AES (=WPA2)
- Firmware Version: Alchemy-6.0-RC1.w42 V2.04.4.8sv download
- node brahms-17 delivers ADSL , works in Client-Mode , link distance: 1650m (picture), 11mbit , rssi-Level: 85 , view-fries43-to-brahms17
- node hheine-9 is connected via WDS, link distance: 1450m , 11mbit , rssi-Level: 85
- node ossietzky-30 is connected via WDS, link distance: 175m ,
- node jakob-2a is planned, link distance: 1100m
- node wagner-11 is planned, link distance: 1000m
- strong Grid-Antenna (borrowed from subsignal.org)
- even better Grid-Antenna is planned , Type: HG2424G , picture , ~85 euro shop
- FLI4L router/http-proxy/firewall in cellar (PentiumI-133mhz,~500mb HD) till dez.2004
- all routing / DHCPd / HTTPd / DNS now from linksys

- for a short period (35 days) a simple trashbag protected the outdoor-linksys
